Dear Athlete and/or sponsor,

Welcome everyone to the MWAA Web site! My name is Mary Stack, the  President of the Michigan Wheelchair Athletic Association. I have an excellent Board of Directors who has been very helpful in making things run smoothly.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 43rd Annual Michigan Wheelchair Games. The games will be held  May 8-10, 2008. We are happy that Henry Ford II High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan has agreed to be our host again this year. We are indeed fortunate to be able to use this fine facility. Events offered at this year’s games include: Track and Field Events, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Shooting, and Swimming.  Some events will, out of necessity, be held in other venues: Warren Parks and Recreation hosts Table Tennis, Cross Trainers Fitness Forum hosts Weightlifting, and Macomb Community College Criminal Justice Training Center in Clinton Township hosts Shooting.

Please look at the Forms and Downloads section to obtain the necessary forms for you to compete or support the MWAA.

We couldn’t put on our games without the help of our generous sponsors and also without the help of the many volunteers who make it possible for these games to happen. We encourage athletes, their parents, our sponsors and volunteers to take advantage of the opportunity to place an ad in the 2008 Program Book expressing their confidence and encouragement for one of our competitors.
